What are the effects of internet addiction?

PREFACE
Internet addiction is a psychological idea of a person being addicted to the internet. There is no proof that this is real because it is only an idea, but there are some ways to identify internet addiction. Internet addiction makes people believe the internet to be a better form of life than the real, physical world. Slowly, internet addicts are taken out of society, and some addicts even go into depression from a lack of communication with a physical person.

What is internet addiction?
Internet addiction is a disease of a person’s life being dragged in to the internet. This means that the internet becomes the main point of their lives. Just like any other addiction, the addiction for the internet increases overtime, and as it increases, the harmfulness also rises. When a person has internet addiction, they feel as if they are only safe around the internet. This causes a mental disorder and the person will not have the same social ability and knowledge as others do. Most teenagers have internet addiction, and when they are infected by it, whenever they have a hard time in life they will turn to the internet rather than friends or family members. Rather than having a social life, internet addicts would talk to strangers in rpg games.
Effects
Internet addiction persuade people to be drawn into sexual relations, gambling, drinking, and violence. Aside from these effects, there are many mental problems that occur because of internet addiction. When a person cannot get online, they will get mad and start over reacting. This is an example of how a person addicted to the internet cannot control their feelings and emotions as well as most other people can. This mental illness, internet addiction, makes people forget and loose their minds. When a person gets off the computer after a whole week, they will not be able to walk properly out their door, drive safely to the park, and then get along with strangers. Because of the waves and radiation that come from the computer, the person will not be able to balance their self because balancing is done 90% with the eyes. The eyes that had become adjusted to the nearsighted, bright computer will not be able to withstand the sun. Two - the person’s focus on the internet for such a long time, whether it be a game of driving a car into everything on the road or a game of repeatedly pressing the same button over and over again, the person’s mind will be stirred up. When they get in their car, they will have a natural motivation of stepping of the acceleration pad nine times harder than it should be pressed. Then they will smash into the nearest tree thinking the car will cut it down, and might end up in the hospital. Three - the person will have been lost in the real world. They will not have the ability, as mentioned before, to communicate with a person face to face after having only typed whatever they wanted to them. People in the real world will have feelings, and they will also try to get along with anyone. This person with internet addiction will not have the patience to follow the step by step procedure in making new friends.

Genre #2
Do you know about the seventeen year old girl who got kidnapped and murdered in 2006? Do you also know about the nine year old kid who got in a carcrash...alone? Is it not amazing how a little kid can get into a car accident, especially because this situation was caused by internet addiction.
Internet addiction, as most people know, is just an addiction of online games, clips, and other internet software. Many people also ignore this and think it isn’t very serious, and can be easily avoided. However, one out of every fourteen teenagers in the United States is or has once been a victim of internet addiction. The two cases given before of the girl and boy have been both motivated by internet addiction. Internet addiction can get very serious even if there is no danger near the person. Internet addiction can cause these three types of danger - mental danger, personal danger, and reality danger.
Mental danger is when the mental mind of the addict is in the internet world. They are walking on streets in reality, while their mind sees a forest full of things that are seen in games. Personal danger is when the internet addict develops depression because of lonesome, and reality danger is when the person's physical abilities are harmed.

Genre #3 - For my third genre, I would like to take a survey on how long people spend on their computer doing non-academic stuff. I would then like to choose the people who spend the most time online and make an iMovie of what they do, not just on the computer; I would like to see how they act differently in their normal life compared to people who spend less time online
